Shreelakshmi Bhat Brings Smiles to Cancer Patients Through Compassionate Service at St. John’s Hospital

Bengaluru: Social service is not always measured by big actions; sometimes, it is seen in the simple smile that appears on someone’s face. With this beautiful intention, 16-year-old Shreelakshmi Bhat actively participated in a meaningful  Medical Clowning session at St. John’s Cancer Hospital, where she spent time with more than 75 elderly cancer patients and 28 cancer-affected children.

The session was conducted with the heartfelt purpose of spreading happiness, care, and emotional support among those who are going through difficult stages of life. Many of the patients were in senior stages of cancer, facing pain, weakness, and emotional challenges. In such a sensitive environment, Shreelakshmi  interacted with them with kindness, patience, and affection, making the occasion memorable for everyone present.

During the session, she spent quality time with the elderly cancer patients, listened to them, shared words of comfort, and created a friendly atmosphere filled with positivity. Her gentle smile and warm presence brought a sense of joy and comfort to the patients.

Shreelakshmi also spent time with 28 cancer-affected children, bringing cheerfulness and encouragement to their day. Her intention was simple yet powerful — to bring at least a little smile to their faces and make them feel cared for.

The staff of St. John’s Hospice appreciated Shreelakshmi Bhat’s thoughtful participation and praised her for doing such meaningful service at a young age. At just 16 years old, her compassion, maturity, and social responsibility stood out beautifully.

Her involvement at St. John’s Hospital stands as a meaningful example of how small acts of love can create a lasting impact. By spending time with cancer patients and children, Shreelakshmi Bhat once again showed that true social service begins with empathy and the desire to make someone’s day a little brighter.

Through this noble initiative, Shreelakshmi Bhat continued her journey of spreading smiles, humanity, and hope among people from different walks of life.
