Health and Wellness has been a popular topic this month as public figures appear to be visiting college campuses to encourage students to take care of their mental health specifically. Charles Clark, a USA Track and Field Championship silver medalist, was the keynote speaker at Norfolk State University’s EmpowerU Student Wellness Summit. The Olympion turned Motivational Speaker delivered a presentation to help students at Norfolk State University navigate through adversity and become the best version of themselves. National Recording Artist DeAna Fai is an alum of the HBCU, and also joined as the emcee to facilitate the event.
The event was exclusively open to NSU students and they also had the opportunity to ask the keynote speaker questions regarding their personal experiences. A select group of students were invited to participate on the panel discussion with RnB Artist DeAna Fai and a Licensed Professional Counselor who was also there to answer any queries from the mass. The theme was “Navigating Through Journeys.”
