Emerging poet and scholar Sudip Chandra Halder has been honored with the prestigious national award “Bharat Pratibha Samman – 2025”. The award was conferred on Wednesday afternoon in a dignified yet solemn ceremony held at the historic Prime Ministers’ Museum in New Delhi.
Sudip Chandra Halder, a dedicated researcher in Law from the renowned Banaras Hindu University, received the award in recognition of his literary and scholarly contributions. The event was organized by the Bharat Pratibha Samman Council, with distinguished guests gracing the occasion. Chief Guest Shri Anurag Thakur, former Union Minister and current Member of Parliament, presented the award, while Padma Shri awardees Professor (Dr.) Kamal Kumar Shethi and celebrated classical dancer Smt. Shovana Narayan were present as special guests.
A total of 25 distinguished individuals from across the country were felicitated during the event for their exceptional contributions in their respective fields. The award comprised a specially crafted memento and citation, inspired by the design of the Padma Shri.
In his address, Anurag Thakur stated, “Each recipient of the Bharat Pratibha Samman has shown the way forward for Bharat through their dedicated work. The government is committed to recognizing and honoring true merit.” He further referenced the government’s recent recognition of Dukhu Majhi with the Padma Shri, highlighting the nation’s renewed focus on honoring genuine grassroots contributions.
Smt. Shovana Narayan, in her speech, remarked, “Receiving such an honor is a matter of pride, but it should also inspire all of us to strive further in our respective fields.” Dr. Kamal Kumar Shethi encouraged everyone to become more actively involved in social service, emphasizing the role of personal responsibility in nation-building.
After receiving the award, Sudip Chandra Halder addressed the media, saying, “Bharat is moving forward, and will continue to progress. One day, India will truly become the Vishwaguru. Today’s recognition is not just a personal achievement—it is a symbol of greater responsibility.”
He added, “All the awardees here today are contributing in their own way to the growth of the nation. I hope to make my own small contribution to this journey through my work. This national recognition has deepened my sense of duty.”
The ceremony concluded with a vibrant cultural program that showcased the richness of Bharatiya traditions & Sanskar through music, dance, and poetry. As twilight settled, the evening transformed into a memorable celebration of talent, heritage, and national pride.
