Raised in Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar, Qasim saw firsthand the dangers of radicalization—and chose instead to model courage, dialogue, and effective action as a social political activist and policy analyst.
Through grassroots workshops, door-to-door counseling, and relentless event organization, Qasim’s small teams have rekindled confidence across 100+ communities. In places once dominated by fear, young people are now running literacy programs, girls’ empowerment clubs, and neighborhood clean-ups.
Qasim’s gift is connecting on the human level. Parents see their children volunteering for outreach campaigns instead of falling into old traps. Local talent is being recognized in talent shows and sports tournaments. And each new initiative—whether it’s vocational training or art therapy—sows the seeds of progress and pride.
